The Salmo Slider Gets Results

You won’t find another lure in the world like the Slider and the action is totally unique. Is this good? You bet! The Slider cannot be rejected by anyone who thinks seriously about catching large predators. Available in both floating and sinking models, the Sliders are available in a small Slider 7 size for the bass anglers and the larger Slider 12 that is ideal for pike and muskie, but we have also taken several monster bass on the bigger version as well.

Typical fishing with the Slider consists of the classic downward jerking action. Standing in a boat, make a series of jerks, at the same time retrieve the line fast. The jerks should be energetic and fast. First casts with this lure should be made on shallow clear water in order to find out the optimal frequency and strength of jerks. The Slider turns energetically side to side, at a right angle in relation to the direction of the line retrieve. It is extremely important to keep the line tight and avoid any slack after each jerk from hooking the lure. It is also very difficult to set the hook if the line is loose. The Slider can also be an excellent lure for shallow trolling. Let the lure stay 30 to 100 feet behind the boat and then, keeping your rod in hand, jerk the lure every few of seconds.
